My longtime private party entertainer persona known as King Magnum is now evolving into a feature-length horror film titled… wait for it… King Magnum. Still a better title and guaranteed to be a much better film than Magic Mike. This stylish arthouse slasher is a loose adaptation of my memoir which, along with writing, I will be directing and starring in. This is a concept I’ve been pondering for the past year. I have other film ideas, but this one will be cheapest and easiest to produce. It will NOT be another of those dopey horror comedies that are everywhere these days. I’m going for something dark and visceral in the realm of controversial horror classics like Cannibal Holocaust and I Spit on Your Grave combined with Argento-esque visuals. It’s about raising a huge flag and getting noticed for sure. I realize that I’m a filmmaker above all else at this point and should be putting my film degree to good use.
