The tree next to the spot in my backyard where I sunbathe nude is currently in bloom with pink flowers. Outside of the most obvious specimens, I’m terrible at identifying flora. I have no idea what kind of tree this is. All I know is that its upper branches host clusters of small pink flowers. Contrasting with the earthy green leaves. Providing vibrant accents to the deep blue sky streaked with white clouds. A high and mighty sight from my vantage point lying on the ground. And I too have placed myself in prime position to soak up energy from the largest star in the sky. I should know what kind of tree this is since this is my home. But at the same time, I’m a long way from home.
